For years, I tried and failed to lose weight in my stomach. I tried all the typical things: super restrictive diets, expensive supplements, superfood smoothies, and excruciating workouts but nothing worked (at least not long-term).

From a diet and nutrition standpoint there are three things you need to do to get a flat belly:
1. Eat the right foods.
2. Eat at the right times.
3. Eat in the right portion sizes.
Do not be hoodwinked by the latest diet book or infomercial. The truth is good nutrition (which also promotes a flat stomach) is simple.
