Books and Magazines
The more I watched "Enjoying Everyday Life", the more I realized that I had to work on my mindset. The program was helping a great deal, but I wanted to accelerate my results and to do that, I needed to accelerate my thinking. I decided I would spend 15 minutes a day reading something positive. Some of my favorites: The Bible, "God's Leading Lady", "Woman Thou Art Loosed", and "Maximize the Moment" by T.D. Jakes, "Your Best Life Now" by Joel Olsteen, "Maximize Your Potential" by Dr. Myles Monroe, "Failing Foward" by John C. Maxwell, and my all time favorite "Battlefield of the Mind" by Joyce Meyer. I also read health-related magazines and tried to learn all I could about healthier eating and living. Over time, my attitude changed from "This is too hard, I can't" to "This is doable. I can". I still read for 15 minutes a day - another secret to my success.
This will come as no surprise to my FB friends - I LOVE QUOTES! (love is probably an understatement). Quotes can be magical - the right one and the right time can totally change your perspective. I have quotes all around my office and I post one on my whiteboard daily. I have accumulated hundreds over the years and I don't think I'll ever grow tired of them. Nothing like an instant dose of inspiration when the going gets tough!
Here is one of my favorites:

Hopefully you get the point. Managing your mindset is a daily process. It is not a one time affair. As Brian Tracy one said, "People often say that motivation doesn't Last. Well, neither does bathing. That's why we recommend it daily!"
Today's assignment: Find 1-2 reinforcements that will work for you. You're going to need the support to go the distance.
